My friends and I are headed up to Lake tahoe this saturday, we're pretty poor college students so we are looking for the bargain deals. Particularly deals for beer and liqour, however we do need some other things. I'm not sure if there is a Safeway or Lucky around there.

I haven't lived in South Lake Tahoe for several years, but yes there IS a Safeway, a Raleys and a WalMart as well as several small liquor stores- one, I think, at the corner of Ski Run Blvd. Safeway is across from Timbercove Lodge, Raleys is just before Stateline and the casinos and Walmart is at the Y, several miles before the casinos on the CA side.
