whether you liked him or not you've got to admit he had big brass ones. he invented that kind of stunt riding before anyone else knew it could be done & did it by the seat of his pants with no calculations to go on, just hit the throttle & see what happens. a lot of the time bad things happened but when he heald up he would try it again.
he wasnt too popular with bikers in the early days but you had to respect his guts, he was no quitter.
his name will be remembered long after were all dust. R.I.P.BOB

That was a stuntman like no other. He did all his stunts on a Harley XR750, Sportster, which is probably why he broke every bone in his body. Still he was a True American and a Legend.

It's a shame, he was a cool dude, but he thrashed himself and was in failing health for many years.

You know that saying " Those that burn twice as bright, burn 1/2 as long"
Evel was and really still is the "brightest" of the motorcycle stunt jumpers.

Actually, he was a lousy stuntman... He crashed more often than not, and had the broken bones and surgery scars to prove it... But he put on one HECK of a show!

Died at home? Didn't know that.
At home is the place to be when that happens.
Unless you're in the saddle.

I think if you would have told me 30 years ago that he would die of natural causes, I'd have never believed he'd live that long.
