i think you should try this
1) go to control panel in start menu
2) go to security center (there you should see internet option)
3) go to internet option (internet properties will pop out)
4) click general and go to restricted sites (unblock what sites that you want) LOL

the quickest way is to reset winsock. If your using windows xp service pack 2 or vista, you can reset the securities to the beginning by opening your command box then type " netsh winsock reset catalog " then press enter on your key board it will bring up a prompt that you must restart your computer for to make the change. I have found that this works well when accessing the Internet does not want to work by resetting winsock

on your menu bar there is a button marked blocked, click on that and go from there.
