yeah perfectly fine just make sure they are a little whipplashed before u give him to the snake like maybe shake it in a box a few times because the rodent could actually eat its way out of the snake and kill your snake

My instinct for this situation is to say no.
Only because you think it would be "cool" to feed live. That's not for the right reason.
In captivity it is much safer to feed frozen/thawed. This is NOT the wild and so many people seem to forget that. The snake can't escape the mouse if it's feeling attacked or isn't hungry and they will literally let the mouse eat them alive.
If you're so dead set on feeding live you can not and I repeat CAN NOT walk away you need to stay there any make sure everythings ok, if it means you get tagged by the snake or the rodent by saving your snake from bodily harm then that's what it means.

NO!! it is not cool. They will get used to live and become picky.. only eating live.. Live prey can injure and even kill your snake.. especially a corn snake. Corns often dont even kill prey if fed live, they just start eating it.. obviously that isnt good.. If you got a snake for the cool factor then you got it for the wrong reason. You are responsible for proper husbandry for that animal.. one that will live for probably 15 years or better. Take a look at anapsid.org and you can find some good tips on proper care for your reptile

You're better off feeding frozen/thawed. Though it is natural for them to eat live prey in the wild, it is not "cool" to feed a baby mouse to a snake. In captivity snakes are often injured by adult live mice because they cannot escape them if they want to. Also, live mice carry many more parasites than frozen ones. Teach your snake to accept f/t now and you won't be sorry later.

So there are some explanation why human beings feed their snakes frozen, one its extra elementary to purchase because of the fact they are offered at puppy shops and you will get a p.c.. with 4 in it.. One reason you will desire to no longer feed stay is by way of the fact the bigger tony gets the bigger mice you are able to desire to feed him, which ability they'd run around and stuff. it extremely is undesirable because of the fact mice do no longer particularly sense the instinct of shock so if your snake would not consume it good away, have faith it or no longer, it could flow good up and chew your snake, which ability costly holiday to a vet! i could advise frozen considering which you will no longer run out for awhile and it would not placed your snake at any hazard of possibility. i do no longer understand something on the subject of the goldfish, does sound interesting however! And in case you initiate feeding him stay yet elect to in a while change to frozen this would be perplexing because of the fact they'll particularly develop into choosy with what they consume. good success!

Yes... there is no reason you shouldn't. For your baby corn snakes, no matter what kind, a live meal will be much more nutritional. Once it gets older it's better to ween your snake onto frozen mice so your snake doesn't get hurt. Bigger mice will be more prone to attack your snake and hurt it, but pinkie's should be fine for the time being.

Be careful. Most usually prefer live, but when the snake gets big enough to eat mice with teeth, you're in for big trouble. It's tough to get them to switch back from live to frozen. The snake can get infections from mice bites. Unfortunately, that's what killed my sister's snake years ago.

We fed my corn snake mice but I hated it the snake, he loved it. But it is cruel and I hated seeing it and it is cruel that you think it is cool to watch a snake eat a poor little mouse.

It should be okay 'cause if the snake were in the wild he would eat any kind of mice...
PS they usually eat it alive
