Unless they do a complete background check, many only check the credit reports, then it will not even show up.

First of all the reason no one could help you is you don't say what state you live in. It does vary from state to state. They do look at that,but more importantly they look at how you pay your utilities,store credit cards and most importantly your credit report.
The misdemeanor charges,time served & pot are more for character purposes if you would be a problem tenant.

At my company, we go back 7 years nationwide. The pot conviction would definitely count against you and I would deny you based on that.
The time served for your license - I assume you were driving without a license - would also matter because if you were jailed for it, it's a felony, and any felony is an automatic denial. Any misdemeanors on drugs, assault or damage to property is also an automatic denial here.

The marijuana misdemeanor may get in the way, since it indicates use of an illegal substance. All you can do is apply to rent a unit and see what happens. They may or may not accept you. That's up to the management of the place.
