There is absolutely nothing wrong with staying a virgin as long as you live, if that is your wish. I don't think that anybody would call Mother Theresa a "loser", for example, and yet this woman became a nun at the age of 17, and remained a virgin until the day she died!

Virginity is not something one can "lose", like a watch or a piece of paper. Lovemaking should be reserved for the most special, intimate, romantic relationship two people can enter into, not hopped into and out of like a game of tag. Being a virgin is something honorable, just like being a wife or husband should be something honorable!

The best time to stop being a virgin, is when you marry. Don't settle for anything than the very best! Reserve your first time for your husband or wife, so they can be your one and only love.

BRING BACK TRUE ROMANCE!!!

Mainstream media tends to make sex a norm in any relationship...and it portray it as more important then it is. There isn't a set age range on when you must lose it, it depends on the individual. I know what you mean about the 'your too old to be a virgin' thing, because it seams nowadays everyone just cant wait to do it or they'll feel like a loser or really inexperienced...people now tend to wait for the right person, time or even marriage less and less.

With that being said, the age you can typically expect a guy/girl to not be a virgin anymore is in or after college. But that shouldn't mean that you have to abide by those standards (is it even a standard?) and it kind of pisses me off when people think that being a virgin makes you a loser...if that were the case, should we expect everyone to not being a virgin by the time they are 19? its absurd!

Why do other people call a virgin a "loser" if a he/she has not "lost" his/her virginity yet? It is kind of ironic and widespread as a common colloquial phrase yet we don't immediately stop and evaluate the verbiage. Obviously it may imply that the virgin has something very precious health wise, spiritually, and emotionally, and it is a trust fund holding a great marital asset. It is just that wasteful, misinformed people are envious about it and people tolerate it simply because we are a country of free speech.

Have you ever been in a classroom where the mediocre teacher has a condescending attitude toward the bright kid, or have you ever known a bully who picks someone just to hide his/her own insecurities and shortcomings? That is education in school, and education in life is similar in many ways. However education about things in life should never have a graduation date! So keep questioning the most popular way people 'should' think. Some things are all about image but you have to dig a little deeper.

I am 37 and still a virgin. I am happy to be a virgin to wait for the right one. I will only have sex after marriage. There is nothing wrong with being a virgin at any age. You really shouldn't loose your virginity in high school. It is better to wait until you know a girl is right for you.

Not at all. People may make fun of you for being a virgin in your late teens or whatever, but as you get older, people will respect you more for not carelessly giving away something so precious and pure. When the time is right, you'll know it. Sex was meant to happen after marriage anyway.

Are you kidding me being a virgin should never label you as uncool the way you act might but, but don't force something just because you think it the cool thing to do.

cool? uncool? those are just labels used by society, don't be forced into something that you know you are not ready for. I don't believe in pre-marital sex, I'm 21-year-old and a virgin, I don't feel like a prude or a loser...I know I'm not ready and waiting for marriage and their is nothing wrong with that.
