Probably because you don't support those individuals. Were George Bush supporters acting in a "cult" like manner when they plastered their W stickers everywhere??
C'mon, don't mistake passion and conviction for cult like behavior. I support Ron Paul passionately, because the bar is set much higher for him to get over than a more mainstream Republican candidate.
And honestly, people should be jazzed about supporting their candidate. Otherwise what's the point....

I agree 100% regarding the Ron Paul comment. His followers put him to shame, and really make their candidate look bad. I can say right now that my #1 reason I will be voting against him is to see how many of his lemmings jump off a bridge once his defeat is absolute.
Ron Paulists are a cult in ever sense of the word. They are brainwashed zombies who believe that not voting for Ron Paul will lead to the apocalypse, and that if you disagree with them, that you are a pawn of the corporate media, in league with 'neo-cons' and an outright heretic enemy of the U.S. It is impossible to sway them with logic or reason, because both are foreign to them. They loyalty is rooted in emotion, not logic, which makes them especially close-minded and dangerous. These are NOT people we want to be behind the future leader of America. And that is why I am standing firm on a NO vote for Ron Paul.
I will have to admit though, I haven't seen too much cult loyalty to Clinton. I am not a big fan of Clinton myself, but most of her supporters seem relatively sane, if not misguided, compared to the Church of Pope Ron Paul.

You are so right on this one. Great comment. They do have Cult following. And when I say cult following, I am referring to their supporters who will follow them no matter what happens. It is good to be loyal, but at some point a person is intellectually dishonest when pure facts are ignored in favor of emotion. Bill Clinton is an example of this. How many Clinton supporters still think Bill was framed for the Monica thing. Or those that believe OJ is actually innocent and a victim of racism. That's intellectually dishonest when the truth means nothing and their mind or opinion can never be changed. Hillary and Ron Paul definitely pander to those individuals and embrace their outrageous claims.

Hillary has a cult following. Special interests such as gays like her. The rest of us, however, think she is a junior senator, with no military experience, lots and lots of baggage, no leadership skills, and has not completed one single piece of legislature as a New York Senator. She promises big, accomplishes nothing.

Ever think Ron Paul 'cult followings' are just regular Americans who agree with Ron Paul? Why do you think he gets more donations than other candidates and more donations from military members than any other candidate? Are they 'cult followers' too? Do you actually read up on who you vote for or listen to Fox to make the decision for you?
I don't think Hillary has a cult following because I have yet to meet anyone who would ever vote for her.

Nah Ron Paul supporters are just really enthusiastic, as they hear and welcome his ideas, as they are clearly the most logical and best plans for the country! They also see the media bias against him and are determined to get the word out and the truth heard...
As for Hillary... She's just pure evil and I daresay any occult following of hers would have to be Satanic!
EDIT- Thanks for the childish name calling at the end there.. It really makes me want to go into more detail.
You don't think there are some weirdos out there who would die for Dubya?

Ron Paul has millions of Americans who are tired of an unwinable war, failed foreign policy, trade deals thats screw our middle class, an illegal tax system, and the blatant abuse of power by the executive branch.
Calling his supporters a cult only lets us know your scared

Not Hillary. Her support is the result of pure power, lots of money, lots of calculation, not love.
Ron Paul yes, definitely cult figure, with all that that implies, as in "cults being a really bad judge of character".
