Allright, so my good friend has this class with a very smart girl. This girl was in the top 96% on the psat, and she told him that she would sign up for the test with him, and switch tests and do his for him. Do u think this could work, why or why not?

The reason the girl is willing to do it is because she taking a year off high school, and she graduating early.

When I took the SAT, ages ago, it was pretty closely proctored. Paranoid as the country has become in recent years, I doubt that it's any less so now. So two students exchanging papers would almost certainly get caught, and the consequences could be far-reaching.

First of all, the tests are carefully monitored, and both the girl and your friend could get barred from ever again taking the test (which would force them both to go to community colleges, if they could get in). Also, there have been schemes to cheat on the exam in the past, and the cheaters have not only been barred from the test, but have ended up in prison for it. I'm not sure if this particular method rises to the level of that, but it is something to think about.

Also, what is with the girl? Why would she accept your friend's lousy score? What is the incentive for her to destroy her own future?

No...they check your ID when you pick up your test, when you hand it in before you take a break, when you hand it in at the end...the teacher is in the room the whole time. You can't even go to the bathroom during the test unless it's during a scheduled break--that's how strict they are. Your chances of getting caught aren't 50-50--much higher. This is a bad idea, seriously.
