Yay, i agree wayne does put in alot of work in the studio..

i dont mean best rapper alive has to go to the MOST active rapper, but i believe active rappers should be more considered for that title

Buy...Didnt LL Cool J claim he was the G.O.A.T. and not many argued about that (I did)...but he isnt too active now, and whats that doing for him...

If a rapper isnt active, they start to lose relevance...IMO...

I think a lot of artists have gotten to the point they are making music with being "the best" in mind.

I think once a lot of artists gets past that, and just learn that the consumer, the real music - rap music lover/fan is interested in healthy beef and just listening to "AWESOME" music that arouses the senses; that makes one go buy their album because a song has touched one so deeply that we reach in our pockets to "kop that." That is only when the statement of "the greatest " will die.

Yes, I have answered many question on here relating to who is the greatest, but I cannot say that anyone of the artists I have stated can actually be labelled the greatest. I just like the argument; to hear what everyone else has to say..... that notion of picking anothers mind to see what has made them take the stance they have taken. How that artists music has swayed them into believeing that they could be the greatest.

Can anyone here actually say that rakim, tupac, jay z , wayne, cube, eminem, big, andre 3000, ll cool j, kanye, canibus, snoop, krs 1, or whomever is THE GREATEST!!!!

First, there is no way to compare all these artists together. these artists are all on different levels. How can you honestly pin one rapper aginst the next... you can't. Oh you say lyrically, who is better... everyone hears lyrics differently
come on now lets discuss a few of these named artists:
big could paint a picture through his words
jay can make you feel like you can relate on a whole nother level - hustlers yall feel me!
pac was raw wit his cause he was militant wit it and uncontrollable
ll was a cocky young man who rapped wit the best of em, and battled all challengers
snoop was a youngin' with an old soul who brought that old school to the new with a laid back flow
krs 1 was a little militant that spoke for the common man about real life issues
andre does his thang and is original with his flow
wayne is a youngin who wants to be the voice of the new generations of the young hustla

I can go on and on, but would you really feel me anyways.???

Music is a feel that only real artist can give us. Plain and simple. Music changes just as quick as I change my hairstyle. Nothing stays the same including the times. If we had the same type of artists tryna give us the same type of feel, would we be able to have discussions like this...think about it and then re think who you really think the greatest is............

Sell. I'm a big fan of Jay Z and he'd be on my list of favourite rappers, but I don't think he's close to being the *best*. Best album imo is the Black Album.

Buy: When ever I hear the statement I think it's like having repsect for the deceased. They don't want to say they are better than Tupac or B.I.G.. This has always been my opinion.

Greatest Rapper Alive = Best Barring BIG and Pac
GOAT = The Best Ever including BIG and Pac

I'm going to have to sell this. You can be retired but still the best rapper alive but I draw the line when the person dies.

Best Active Rapper Alive would probably be Lupe Fiasco...no doubt about it...he could out do lil'waynes whole career in one line....you could maybe make Lil'Wayne the Best Active Punchline King..or sumthin...since all he does is punchline after punchline after another ****** punchline...till he gets to 16 bars
