Epiphone Les Paul, Fender Stratocaster, or Fender Telecaster?

Hey Dawg, I would have to go with the Strat if it is American made. It's the tried and true guitar that paired with the right amp will do anything. The tele would be my second pick .Different pick-ups than the strat but a very versatile guitar with a distinct sound. The Epi Les Paul is a cheaper version of the Gibson Les Paul. If it's guality you want in a Les Paul you would have to go with the Gibson. You're heads in the right direction with what you're asking. Good Luck!

The Epiphone Les Paul has a shorter scale-length than the two Fender guitars - it is 24.75 inches. The Fender guitars have 25.5 inch scales. There are American built Fender guitars, Mexican, Korean, and Japanese Fender guitars.
As to which one is the best that depends on what YOU like the best. I like Gibson Les Paul's, which I deem superior to Epiphones. The Stratocaster is probably your best bet, but be sure to check it out throughly before you buy one - that goes for all guitars.

eww dont get an epiphone les paul, get a gibson les paul. epiphone les pauls are such rips. if i were u i would get a strat. cuz strats own. i am so impressed that ur investing in a more expensive guitar cuz there are too many people out there who want a "cheap" guitar. there isnt such thing as a cheap guitar. its either an expensive guitar or crap. do me a favour and dont get a tele. too many country singers play them and it makes the guitar look bad. not to say they arent bad guitars, its just not what id pick, and not what u would pick either. also avril lavigne killed its rep by playing it in her video for girlfriend. also i think the headstock looks stupid and the body shape is kinda messed. so get a strat. i will be very disapointed if u dont. and too many people also play les pauls. the only rocker (in my opinion) who looks good while playing a les paul is slash, all the others are posers.

From my opinion, I think the Les Paul is best, but then again, the Fender is great for lead while the Les Paul is great for rhythm. I had them both, among others, but I love my Les Paul Custom the best

it depends on which type of each one and also what you like. i really like my telecaster but my friend has a nice strat and if you are going to get a les paul atleast get a gibson
