Agree. But, stating the obvious is much easier than being the tool for change.

The Founders of the USA put a system into place that was to be followed like a road map. What the Founding Fathers did not foresee is what we the people have allowed the bureaucrats to do to us without we the people fighting back. Those that vote in crappy politicians that did the opposite of what they claimed they would after they got into office and if they did why did you vote them back into office for a second term?

Disagree. We need the taxes to pay for everything from the army to education. And those regulations save lives. The Founders would call Paul a crackpot. And so should you.

the founders maybe...
but the founders also would be shocked that we freed the slaves...
it's a different world with different rules...
I don't think the founders wanted America to ever become a superpower... just look at what Washington said about the issue on many occasions...
they wanted a small government that ran a free and independent nation... and I don't think you can do that and be a superpower... too many responsibilities... too much that needs to be done for a superpower to have a small government...
it's a different world than our founders could ever imagine... is that bad or good... maybe a little of both... depends on how you look at it...

Our Senators on CSPAN said you owe 30,000. Every man woman and child. How will this war bill be paid off if Ron Paul get rid of IRS.
I do wish they did not tax peoples pay but only when purchasing. Sales tax. Then those that make more or high cost purchases will pay and eliminate the loop holes created by the income tax. People that can't afford to buy anything wont be paying. And people that buy $100 jeans and shoes will be paying.

And what are your suggestions to fix this. As an example you say we are over taxed. Is this a general statement or do you have specific ideas. Are some things taxed more than they should be and other taxed less than could be? How would you fix it. What would you be willing to do without because there are no tax revenues to support it.
Did you vote this past election?id you do any research to find out what values the candidates supported, did you take the time to find out where they didn't support you. If you did the research you probably found out that no one person supported everything you want, how did you choose between them?

I agree 100% with that statement.
I do not agree with Paul on many very important points, so I cannot support him. I wish there was someone more credible that held many of his views. I think Thompson is as close as we can get to someone who can turn the country around and in the direction it should go. He advocates many of the views Paul claims to hold.

Disagree. As many issues and problems as there are, it would be far worse without a government to protect individual rights. And taxes pay for the govenment.

To an extent yes....
I think to a greater extent, we've allowed our nation to become ruled by special interest groups (unions and trial lawyers for dems, oil companies, big business, and the NRA for republicans). It's easy for a candidate to make promises of social reform, but the only one who can deliver is already broke, and has dropped out.
