Let's face it: if you truly believed that everything on this list were true, you would be living in a gulag!

Yet, our lives are exactly the same as they were 10 years ago. Not a single discernable change in our day-to-day lives.

So aren't liberals just lying when they claim they love their country?
How many conservatives are dumb enough to buy it?

Liberals, if you are offended by this, would you be willing to defend the honor of the country you love against these false accusations? Would you at least be willing to be skeptical enough to ask for competent evidence whenever anyone attempts to denegrate her?

Interesting responses. Not a single person addressed my last set of questions.

My conclusion is similar to several below:

If liberals love their country, they love her like an alcoholic loves his wife:

--he is free to bash her with impunity
--he is free to continually change his definition of commitment
--unconditional love is not required, and apparently, nor does it exist
--he has no responsibility to be accountible for his actions
--he has no obligation toward her
--he has no intention of supporting or defending her
--if anyone questions his love, they are attacked
--most telling, most of the answers below are laced with shameless lies and no excuse is offered

Are there any women here willing to accept this kind of love? If not, why should America?

I think that there is a special place inHell for this particular disease infecting the crown jewel of God's creation.

Well, seeing as how this country was built around the action of criticizing your government, not at all! Kind of where the Bill of Rights comes in, buddy. Freedom of speech, freedom to petition, etc. The founding fathers made it perfectly clear that you are suppose to question and criticize your government or else it would just turn into another dictatorship (i.e. king!)

So, if you think about it, since you seem to blindly follow the president and not question his intentions, maybe you should move to North Korea, they're looking for people just like you! Questioning our government is patriotic, following it blindly, goes completeley against what this country stands for.

I love this country and I'm a little confused about your question. I agree with all of your "false accusations" with the exception of 9/11 being an inside job. By the way, I don't think that's a liberal view point, not sure why you led off with such a crazy, conspiracy theory accusation.

I'm glad you haven't been effected by the decline of our economy and the privatization of most of our depatments of government. Unfortunately, I believe that if you polled the country on how thier life has improved/declined over the past decade, you'd be surprised how many people would disagree with you.

And, to qualify this as a legitamate answer, Bush and his cohorts have used 9/11 and Iraq to pad their pockets by awarding contracts to thier friends and coworkers and taking the government agencies out of the equation.

I'm a little drunk, so I'm not making the best point.
Peace.

P.S. read this book, or at least read about this book

No, and you make a valid point. HOWEVER, questioning our government is completely patriotic. The difference here is one supports an answer that has no basis in fact and the other wants more facts to find the real answer. NEVER confuse the two.

I am proud to live in a country where I have the constitutional right to disagree with my government and with Bush's sorry *** policies. If you don't think people should be allowed to have different opinions, perhaps you are living in the wrong country yourself.

the vast majoirty of liberals don't belive all of that... maybe a bit here and a bit there, to one degree or another...

but, I heard many VERY similar criticisms during Clinton's presidency coming from Republicans... do you remember that at all?

would you be willing to defend Clinton against all of his false accusations? do you love your nation?

or do you see the sad and obvious flaw in your logic?

or are you just hate America?

How can you love OUR country if you blindly accept what you are told?
I just want to KNOW why the BUSH administration ignored national security and terrorism until AFTER we were attcked!
Bush is the leader of the country.............NOT the country!
As President he is answerable to "We the People"!
Why did he hide behind closed doors to "meet" with the 911 commission without being sworn in?
