For my birthday i have been thinking which system should i get. I have a Wii right now, and want a more hardcore gaming. I'm not saying that Wii is not awesome or it is a bad system. But I finally have the money for the most expensive system out there.
I now want you to give me which details are better on which system.
1.what do you prefer (whether you own one or like to play the most)
2.graphics (PS3 or Xbox360)
3.value (PS3 or Xbox360)
4.which system (PS3 or Xbox360) which version is the best one (such as 80gb. or Elite)
5.games (PS3 or Xbox360) please don't say that PS3 doesn't have any good games they're trying to get more games out
6.Online gaming (live or internet)
7.friends and messaging (PS3 or Xbox360)
8.accessories (PS3 or Xbox360)
9.playing older game system games (PS3 or Xbox360)
10.defects (PS3 or Xbox360) like defects in the system or games
So please help me decide on which system

1. Ps3. Playstation is the consecutive 2 time console winner, so anything there are doing, they are doing it right.
2. Xbox 360 graphics are great but the Ps3 is catching up. Look for better games for the Ps3 in the future.
3. Ps3 has to be the best value. Blu-Ray drive and get this, Sony is coming out with an application where you can record and watch live TV. Basically a Blu-Ray + TiVo + Game System. What else do you want?
4. Xbox Elite is a good system without a doubt but the red light of death is to often.
5. You are absolutely right. Xbox 360 has a full year in advance to dish out games. Of course it's going to be better now. Let's see some upcoming exclusives for the Ps3. Killzone 2, Haze, Metal Gear Solid 4, Final Fantasy XIII, Gran Turismo 5, Afrika, Motorstorm 2, Wipeout, Yakuza 3, LittleBigPlanet, Infamous, White Knight Chronicles, Disgaea 3, The Getaway 3, Heavy Rain, SOCOM: Confrontation, Wardevil, LA Noire, Tekken 6 and God of War 3 will all be coming out as PS3 exclusives. Also the maker of Ico and Shadow of the Colossus is making his next game exclusively on PS3.
6. Xbox Live is more active and fun. That is because they had a head start and it's doing wonders for them. When Home comes out the Ps3, it's going to be like online Sims, you can play pool, billards, bowl, chat, meet new people. Christ, you don't even have to have a game for the ps3 to have fun on it.
7. Xbox Live has a more advance messaging system and online community.
8. The only accessory need for the Xbox 360 is a new cooling fan, cause it breaks too damn much. Ps3 has bluetooth headsets, Dualshock 3 with Sixaxis, webcam to hook up, and more things in the future. Sony never quits.
9. Ps2, all you going to play is Halo 2 on the 360 if you don't have Halo 3. Play the original Metal Gear Solid 2 & 3 which graphics are still great to get yourself prepared for Metal Gear Solid 4.
10. Ps3 had a slight bug problem, but that was fixed with the new shipment of Ps3s after Christmas 2006. Xbox 360 has the red ring of death. 1 out of 3 in every console and still growing. And no 360 owners, they didn't fix the problem with later consoles. I had a friend who brought the 360 at GameStop last week, came home and the red rings of death came on in about one hour. The system is faulty. Why don't Microsoft tell local GameStops how to fix the problem so you don't have to wait 6 weeks to get it back. It's because they don't care for the best interest in gaming.
In closing, you can't go wrong with the Ps3. If the Ps3 is wrong, there is no right.
How are you going to pass up the 2x time Console winning champion of the world. The only thing Xbox has won is the biggest tech electronic in 2007: The Xbox 360. The choice is yours my friend.

1. I own an Xbox 360
2. The Ps3 graphics are better
3. The Ps3 Is more valuable but I prefer X360 Games.
4. Xbox 360. Although the Ps3 is a better looking model.
5. The game for Xbox 360. Try gears of war on youtube.
6. Xbox Live Is Way better than Ps3 Online.
7. Xbox 360.
8. The controllers are better than Ps3 controllers. The remote for Ps3 is ugly, too.
9. I don't think you can play old games (ie. xbox on xbox 360)
10. The Xbox 360 is more sturdier.
Get an Xbox 360. More fun.

2. Graphics are better on PS3
3. If your an online gamer PS3 is better value, if not XBOX360 is a better value
4. The XBOX360 elite is better because it's cheaper
5. XBOX360 does have better games(shooting)
6. XBOX360 does have better online gaming, but it costs more
7. Friends and messaging are the same for both.
8. PS3 has more accessories
9. I'm unsure on this, but I believe they are the same system wise
10. PS3 has less system defects.
So, I'd recommend buying PS3 because it's got better graphics, free online gaming, more accessories and less defects. The down side is XBOX360 has better game titles if your a halo person especially. You can either choose a system that's going to cost you more upfront and last you longer, or go with a cheaper one that has better games. Don't forget 1 out of every 3 XBOX360's has the red flashing light of death. They aren't proven to be depenable.

Personally I would buy the PS3. Sure it may cost more, but to me its worth it more than the XBOX 360. With a PS3 you get a Blu-Ray Disc Player and a DVD Player, you are able to use your PSP with it, and it has better graphics than the XBOX 360. Plus the XBOX 360 initially had many bugs in it, I haven't heard of any bugs with the PS3 yet. Also I think the design of the PS3 is better than the XBOX 360. Really I think the main reaon why people are buying the XBOX 360 now is because of the Halo 3, which I heard wasn't all that great . Now if you want my favorite system, it is the Wii. It may be alot cheaper than the other ones, but the fact that they are making interactive systems keeps me happy!!!

for my bday i ended up getting the 360... i did all my homework i chose this to be the best.. i also have a wii which i play even more than my 360 but thats not the point.... ok so heres why i chose 360 over ps3... the ps3 is amazing piece of hardware and its revolutionary in everyway.. but i learned in order to get the full power of a ps3 you need a 1080p tv.. like i said to get the absolute best picture since the system was corely design for it.. playing a ps3 in any other tv even the 720p they play at local games stores you notice ridges in the pixels and the image insnt perfectly clear... its good dont get me wrong but its not perfect... also noticed that a piece of hardware is just hardware without good games by the end of december xbox will 120+ titles while the ps3 fairly new only like 60+ these numbers dont really matter cause at the end of the day its about what games you like and which ones are exclusive for which system... thus far most game developers are making games for both systems which is good for the consumer lol...

1. X-Box 360 has better games and turned out cheaper.
2. X-Box 360's are better on several games, but Haze's graphics are pretty sweet, so it's a tie here.
3. 360 for it's 3-year warranty.
4. 360 = Elite. PS3 = 60 gig (completely backwards compatible).
5. 360 has current best, and PS3 has some good coming out, but not worth it, as most are also coming for 360.
6. Live. PERIOD.
7. 360, but I've never tried the PS3.
8. 360's are nice and cheaper.
9. X-Box plays most all, where as only one version of PS3 plays all, one plays roughly 80%, and the cheapest plays none.
10. 360's are bad, but covered by warranty. PS3's warranty sucks.
