I'm 13 years old and I have a Gateway laptop. But at school my friends have like an iMac, Apple, Sony Vaio, or HP and I feel really embarassed that I have a Gateway because I heard that it's not a good brand. But I'm really okay with my laptop because it works great and the only reason my parents got me a laptop was so I could do my essays. But there's other stuff I do with my laptop like surfing the net, chatting on IM with my friends, playing games, music,etc. So is Gateway an OK brand or really poor brand because my parents said that I'd get a new high tech laptop that's a really good brand in like college or when I'm around 17-18.

Does it work? then who cares. If you have a fancy model the internet doesn't look any different does it? if you're into the latest games then you might want to consider upgrading. worry about your college laptop when you get there because anything you get now will be out of date in 5 years.

never had any problems with the one that i owned,that's why i let my niece have it,so that she wouldn't have any problems with it
