Why is that when there is a question addressed to guys on here there are a good number of women who always asnwer by stating "My husband would say ....."
If its addressed to the ladies, some men log on and state, "I'm a guy, but I think ....."
Why is it that in a marriage, (some) women fell the need or feel the entitlement to answer on behalf of their husband?
Is it that they want to control the way he "should" think about the subject matter? Is it a control behavoir? Does the man loose his ability to THINK for himself after he gets married?
How many of these same women would be upset if the tables were turned? I know a good number of women who would state, "He doesn't answer for me.... I have my own mind and my own thoughts ....."?
Men don't seem to do this to their wives... they answer, "I think ....", not "She would say ...."
Is this just another example of the pendulum of equality in relationships actually being shifted past center to the side of the woman?

Let me clarify.....
This is NOT an issue I'm having in my own relationship..... its just an interesting observation I've made about the responses on Y! answers .....
The women (more often than men) will respond to a question not as "I think my husband would say xxxxxx ....."
But "My husband thinks ...... or My husband would do / say ......"
Men dont tend to do this - I'm just asking WHY ?

I've heard guys speak on behalf of their wives or girlfriends plenty of times. Marriage is a partnership and if you truly know your spouse, it's okay to speak on their behalf in such trivial situations, don't you think? Now, spouses bossing each other around, I'm totally not with. Each person makes their own choices and opinions. This being said, these choices and opinions much compliment each other or the relationship will never work. Hope I helped.

Not at all. Those women have probably heard their husband express his opinion on the issue before, and, unlike men, women usually pay attention when other people talk and remember what those people say. The husbands probably are not online/don't use Y!A.
Besides, MY husband doesn't mind if I answer for him. ;)

Women are the ones who make most of the choices...
we cry and we get what we want.. lol
We are spoiled by our man and we know he wouldn't take anyone else over us. We are the communicators in the relationship and we let our voices be heard. we don't feel we are doing wrong but we do feel we are helping someone out if they need it.. we love to talk.. we get involved when men wouldn't want to.. we have good hearts with good intentions.

I suppose I've been guilty of doing that a time or two - but only for subjects in which we've actually had a discussion and he has expressed an opinion. Otherwise, I'd just be shooting in the dark...........

well im not one of the many women who answer for my husband nor do I feel the need to, he has his own mouth and own mind so why should I speak for him and he is the same with me, I also do not believe that being married gives me the right to all of a sudden be controlling we are still 2 seperate individuals but just share our ove and mutual respect simple as that

You should know that when you answer a question on Yahoo Answers, regardless of to which sex the question is directed to, both sexes will answer.
Regardless, realize that it's someone trying to give advice to the question that YOU asked. If you don't like it then stop asking questions on Yahoo Answers.

For me, I know exactly how my love would respond because we simply know everything about each other. I know what he's going to say before he says it and vice versa.
Maybe some people ask their SO before they respond.
It's not a matter of thinking for yourself but rather knowing what the other person is thinking in my case.

Um, I'm not quite sure what you are saying. My husband says all the time, " my wife would say". Thats not weird, I think when you know someone you know what they are going to say in a typical sitation. Chill out dude.
