You should stand behind her because the best thing you can have is a true friend..but you should also tell her that she should get a plan. She needs not depend on becoming famous. She needs to come to see the reality of her situation. Just because she goes to acting school doesn't mean she's "good enough." How many famous people are there? Not so many...you should ask her why she thinks she'll make it.

I have no idea why anyone would want to be famous now. I would rather just be quietly rich. Like a novelist or something. It doesn't seem to be that great. Paparazzi hounding you everywhere you go, spending time in rehab, being so superficial all you care about is fame and your fake tan. Yuck, I will take a real human being any day.

Tell her to snap back to reality, no offense to anyone here, but there is a pretty slim chance of becoming famous, maybe you could kind of trick her into getting a degree by suggesting an art school like Juliard, and because it's in New York there is opportunity. If she does get famous I'd like an autograph ; ).

Your friend is pursuing one of her dreams, or actually her goal, to become famous. It may seem to be an obsessive motive to some people, such as you, but i believe it is important to pursue a goal in life, and work very hard at it. It is something that seperates humans from animals, and is one of our humanities. As her friend, i suggest you to support her, and believe in her. She will have a chance to become famous, and with your help she could be a comedian(just send a videotape of her in class to afv) or get her to be in a parody involving shakira. With publishment of the indivisual on the internet more and more acessible, it would be very easy. If she doesn't make it still, she could still retain her skill and use it to her advantage.

The odds are slim but not as slim as they used to be. Now with websites having there own entertainment and cable channels popping up all the time...she just might be able to make it.Sounds like somebodys a little jealous and instead of encouriging her, your being negative. You sound more like a parent than a friend.Look,I'm not saying its not realistic but she only has one life to live and it could happpend.support her and encourage her. The worst friend in the world is someone whos negative and discouraging.

Sounds to me like you're JEALOUS!!! You're talking all that garbage now, but if she does become famous, you'll be one of the first people saying "Oh, we were such good friends...blah blah blah." Just because you're not working as hard to become famous and don't have the support or experience she does (at least she's in classes), DON'T BE A HATER!!!

Maybe there are delusions of grandeur and maybe she is heading for a fall, in some cases parents build up their children's hopes that much that they are devastated when nothing happens, however, singing lessons and voice coaching will help, acting lessons too, I'd just say tell her to dig in and get her head down, the more practise and education the more chances of success...........

Tell her..you have to face reality, millions of people want that dream..people invest there money and life into and in all days work it could be worthless...she has to be willing to sacrifice if she wants a to achieve something like that.
But try not to put her down...it's always good to have a dream at a young age.

well my opinion is that if this hope of being famous makes her happy, then why make it otherwise? As for college, well she could always go to an acting college. Just leave it be.
