i know it makes it look realistic (durrr) but wont just a shoe do?

That's a good question. I mean, they could wash socks a lot less if they only wore one every day.
If I had a fake leg, I'd take it off and hit people with it when they pissed me off.
Or just like take it off at random times and fix my shoe or something, to make other people uncomfortable.
Ha I'm not trying to be insensitive or anything of that sort, but think about it. If you're in that situation you have to make the best of it, and have a sense of humor. At least that's how I'd react if I ever had to get one of my legs amputated.
