I still don't want another, my son is 15-mths. But, I went into #1 already pretty sure there would not be a #2. Has nothing to do with pregnancy or labor or infancy or any of that. I just think I can be a better mom and provide more to one child than to 2.
PS-I can't really see since it's so small, but your picture looks cute.

Actually when #1 was 8 months old, #2 decided that would be the best time to get concieved.
I guess I was ready for it whenever it happened, but certainly didn't expect it to happen so soon, especially with the precautions taken to avoid such an event lol.
As soon as my #1 was in my arms for the first time, and after the recovery, etc, I knew I would do it again, it was too wonderful an experience to only have once.
just my experience, to each his own :)

All the pain is worth it for my kids! I know I want a lot of kids, a lot meaning, like 4 or 5.After #1 we tried again when she was 5 months old and didn't get pregnant for a whole year. Now I have my beautiful baby boy! I can't wait to have another! I hope someday I get that feeling of being done, I don't want a dozen kids running around! :)

My son was born October 6, 2001 and My daughter was born December 28, 2006.....I would have had my kids closer together....But, I was only 16 when I have my son...so I had no choice to wait...since I had to finish school and everything...I am hoping to have my 3rd in either the Spring or the Summer of 2010! I have a fall baby, and a winter baby....lol...anyway good luck!

I labored 43 1/2 hours, and pushed for 6 of those hours with irregular contractions. 37 hours natural. Labor is nothing. Its not fun, but its not as bad as other things, and its totally worth it.
I was already planning for my second while I was pregnant, and was probably willing to go through it again when he was 6 months old.
I cant imagine NOT loving another baby like I love my son.
My husband however is not ready for pregnancy and delivery again, lol.

You love all your children uniquely and the same.
My first is special b/c she's my first. My second child has my heart b/c he's a comedian. My third child has my heart b/c he's so active and he has autism and he's just special in his own right, he's such a little ladies man and affectionate, despite his develpomental delays. And this fourth child I'm carrying now....well we'll just have to wait and see what he or she brings to the family!

I had to have a c-section with my son. And I wanted another one within a week! Course that didn't happen, but we are planning on having another one when our first is at least a year old. :o)

I felt like I didn't want another one for the same reasons that you stated. When my daughter was about 2 I changed my mind though.
