under michigan law who is the rightful owner of a car?

me and my parents got into an argument about who actually owns my car. who owns it. my aunt bought it for me and now i am making payments on it. i also pay for the insurance through my parents and the car is registered in my name. so, who, in the laws eyes, does the car belong to?

Who has the title? If the title is in your parents name then they own the car.

The car belongs to he person to whom you are making payments, as they have possession of the title.
