I remember those. Two or three loaded stockings would almost tip them over.

My husbands neighbor had one in her house until the day she died about 10 years ago and I never knew it was cardboard! I thought it was lovely. She was such a kind old woman always doing something special for the children and the elderly. God rest her soul!
