And noticed how large it is? And how our politics are ultimately trivial to such grandeur? How they will continue to shine brightly, as if in infinite pride, regardless if a republican or democrat becomes president?

People are small. Ideas are not. I agree our little bickerings are probably not very important to the Earth let alone anything else but, time is a weird thing isn't it? Imagine if the first caveman who figured out how to light a fire had been frozen by a rival caveman. Maybe we'd all be monkeys still.

I think in looking at the sky you should remember, all those stars you see up there shining, used to be nothing but dust particles.

It absolutely has a way of making you realize how small and insignificant we are compared to the size of the universe. Amazing really. Especially when you think about the wars and governments and civilizations that came before us.

Everything we do is trivial to the Heavens and Stars. We are nothing but a grain of sand compared to the Universe.
Good Post.

Maybe not. Democrats may find that the stars add to global warming and find a way to block them out.
