He was the President to introduce America as a world power; the first President to break up industrial monopolies, the first President to put aside large chunks of natural land, including Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon; among many, many other important things.

Some good, some bad.
Imperialism on the bad side.
Anti-trust on the good side.
That's the simplified version of TR of course.
He was many things, some admirable, some potentially dangerous. He smacked of, but was not totally, racist and somewhat of a Social Darwinist. He believed in theory at least of the power of the will over the law at times (that's the dangerous part).
He was very much opposed to European influence in our hemisphere but on the other hand he did encourage the rise of Japan (oops!).
By all accounts he was moral and an gentleman, but a fierce character without the Bigger Picture abilities of a Lincoln, as regards the true nature of Democracy IMO.

The best President that ever lived in the White house a great man. He founded Social Security and ended the cold war, I really love him. In the south almost all older people have a picture of him on their bedroom wall. A Very Great man , the greatest. He came in when Hoover caused the great depression and ended it and the people could once again live in peace and no hunger. He is in my opinion the greatest of the greatest. He was also the one that set 4 year and no more than 2 terms.
