My grandmother (who is 80 years old) lives in public housing in South Portland. They have laundry facilities in a separtate building. She must walk at a slightly down hill angle down to the laundry building to do her wash. The sidewalks are not plowed and they have told her that they aren't going to do it this year, so she must walk in roadway. The roadway is plowed but it isn't that great. Does anyone have any information on what the law requires in Maine pertaining to snow removal?

In most places that have snow, the property owner is required to keep sidewalks clear of snow that are on or abut their property. This is true in every place I have lived in Minnesota.
