I get the feeling that Ron Paul supporters are the out of touch wackos. Cmon he has 5% support on a good day. Plus he has two first names. How lame is that? He couldnt become president of Turdsville if there was such a place. Get a grip already.

Actually, you got that backwards. The question should read:

"Does anybody get the feeling that the Republican candidates aren't a bunch of out of touch wackos?"

With the exception of Ron Paul

And to that, I must emphatically reply, "yes." Especially to his idiot supporters.

Some are wackos. Let's start with Huckabee. He put his foot in his mouth, attacking Romney's religion. Now for Romney,
he has flip flopped so many times it is ridiculous. Giuliani is
ridiculous, spending public funds on his mistress while he is
married. McCain has thrown away all his credibility with his
liberal stand on immigration. Thompson is less of a wacko than these because he has nothing of substance to say.
The only three who are not wackos are Hunter, Tancredo and Paul. At least they support the rule of law.

Welcome to what's left of the Republican party post George W. Bush. These guys are the shambles - Brother Jeb was the heir to the throne; But now he can't run because Bush has made a laughing stock of the family name. Giuliani has the best name recognition of anybody they have - But there's this small matter of his resume being short and tawdry when you get past 9-11; McCain is out there singing "Bomb, Bomb, Bomb, Bomb Iran"; And all of these chumps' biggest debates are whether or not global warming exists (So 20 years ago) and whether or not Jesus and Satan could be brothers-!

And the sad things is, These whackjobs are only varyingly reflective of those in their party. Whoever the Dems nominate is going to absolutely BURY them when we finally get past the primary...

Well, they are all millionaires, that puts a crimp on the you- and-me deal right there.
They apparently haven't seen a book on science in a few decades.
And there is a dearth of military experience amongst them and their kin.
They all get government health care.
I can't think of the last time they even got their own Starbucks, unless it was a photo op.
Yeah, they are pretty out of touch.
And you get the feeling they don't care either.
At least the Democrats fake it better.

I agree. The wackiest is Ron Paul.
The Dems on the other hand are great Socialist/Marxist potential "rush to tyranny" types.
We need a REAL third party, not the Libertarians. We need someone to represent those of us who believe in applying the Constitution as our Founding Fathers intended.

They are all a bunch of tired old white guys who pander to the religious right and think we should just muddle through the Iraq war, a health care system that's broken and do nothing to fix social security and the environment. Ron Paul may be the one candidate who would get us out of Iraq, but he doesn't seem to think we need government at all.

YES! Ron Paul seems to be the only one in touch with the rest of the country,

Even Ron Paul....ESPECIALLY Ron Paul....because the other GOP wackos are kind of "putting on a show", but Ron Paul actually believes the nonsense he talks about.
