Last time you asked I answered in favor of the first one.

How many times are you going to ask this question?

I'd choose the first option.
But there are a few things to consider... is your son a basketball fan? In my neighborhood i've seen many many families buying basketball hoops for their kids. Sure they like it and they use the hoop for probably 2 weeks max... After that the hoops are left out in the rain for ever and ever.

What i'm trying to say is that if your son is not a basketball fan and often wants to practice his basketball skills, I myself would not choose any of those options and maybe buy a much cheaper one for a starter

hi. I play basketball plenty and that i had a purpose reminiscent of the single on your first link. i did not like that one. After some three hundred and sixty 5 days and a 0.5 the pole grew to grow to be rusted and intensely lose which would be risky in the adventure that your son plans to be dunking in this purpose. If I have been you i might get the single contained in the 2nd link. that's outfitted greater proper and can be safer. wish this enables. -Sam

WOW... can i be your son. i think either one is great. the only difference is the the first one is a shatter proof backboard... unless you son is 7' 1" and 320 pounds and goes by the name "Shaq" then either one will do. the polycarbonated one just means it weather resistant and can take a beating. trust me, as a kid i use to use a milk crate we cut the bottom out of to use as a hoop. he'll love either one.

The first one you mentioned considering the actual retail value is $599 and the other one is only $399.

I like the second one. It looks nicer and the pole protection cushion thing is good if somebody drives hard to the basket.
