ok so i work at this lady's house cleaning and such, (im 14) and she just emailed me that i havent been working so good, ive been leaving the supplies out and forgetting to do some tasks lately, which i guess is partially true...and she asked me if something was wrong, and if i wanted to work just 2 times a month. and i really dont like working there anymore because my boss is SO picky and if i do one small thing wrong, she makes a big deal of it. i told my parents i dont like working there, and theyre like "you cant quit because its too hard, you need the money, youll regret it when you cant buy things when youre shopping....blahblbalhbha" ugh what should i do? how should i email her back? eeekk

If you learn how to have a good work ethic now, you will be much more successful (and happy) later in life.

Get to work.

You're 14?! I don't know if your families financial situation, or if your wants or needs, like clothes and phones and such has anything to do with your parents wanting you to work, but if you were my kid you wouldn't even have a job until you were 16. My kids are 16 and 13 and neither had a lot of "stuff" that I couldn't afford, but they were having fun just being kids. My 16 year old just got his first job a couple months ago and is enjoying his money. So, unless you want to be able to buy all those things you like to have, call it quits, enjoy being a kid and deal with not having a cell phone and the latest clothes.

ok i think that your parents are right..granted right now u think that they are wrong. at that age i thought everything my parents were sayin was crap but if i wouldve listen i wuoldve been better of then i am now. you should hang in there and say 'im sorry i have been very distracted with school and what not. i would appreciate if u gave me another chance. if it doesnt work out 2 a months doesnt seem so awful'. start off by admitting ur mistake but yet suggesting something else. And trust me its nice to have ur own money and you dont have to ask ur parents for anything. its a nice feeling bottom line stick wit it. itll be a good life learning experience that way when someone wants to whine about there job to you..you can say well i worked at this place and i just had to do what i had to. itll will make you seem grown and mature....good luck
