The best explanation I have read was that spruce trees that have fakken into Loch Ness become waterlogged and sink. They get covered with mud. Eventually, they rot and gas builds up enough to break the tree loose from the mud. The tree, lighter than water because of the gas, rises rapidly, often at an angle. This can make it move against the wind. At the surface, the gas escapes and the tree sinks again. A root sticking up might look like the neck of the monster.

Well, there have been spottings all over the world: the original Loch Ness Monster is Scotland, Champ in Lake Champlain (US), I think there was one in the Amazon, and there have been sightings in Africa.
I'd say yes.

They don't exist but they are not fake. "Fake" means they have been made with the intention of deceiving people. Believers are sincere, they are not into deception. There is no evidence for Loch Ness monsters despite many expeditions to look for them. When one turns up, I will change my view about their existence but until then, I won't accept that they exist.
