There is some evidence that pedophilia runs in families. Whether or not this is a result of genetics or is a learned behaviour is unclear. However there is increasing evidence that there may be neurological basis for pedophilia. James Cantor, a researcher in Toronto has suggested that there are differences in brain chemistry among pedophiles, that probably occured while they were still in the womb - that something went wrong in the brain during development. I really doubt it, but I don't think professionals know for certain. The only family ties to pedophilia I'm aware of is that there's a tendency for victims of child molestation to be somewhat more likely to become molesters themselves, but this seems more likely to be a result of psychological issues than any genetic link.

NO! It is not a genetic disorder. That is rhetoric spread by people who say we are born sexually attracted to a certain population. We live in a highly sexualized society that gets bored and looks for different things. Fetishes, pedophilia, animals. homosexuallity came from this.

No it is a psychological disorder fast on its way to becoming a "genetic disease" or just a normal "alternative" lifestyle" as homosexuality has.
It will eventually be "normalized when enough pedophiles get into the APA board and government offices.
