Everytime I have an interview I always freeze up. I stutter and forget what I'm going to say. Or I forget on how to answer questions.

My interview always screws up my chance of getting the job.

I think they still have this program called Mock Interviews. It might just be for highschool kids, but I did it and they train you, help you with your resume, and take you a building that is hiring where they know it's a mock interview, and if you were really looking for a job, they will think about letting you work there or not after the interview. Haha..runover sentences there, sorry

Interviewers look for signs of insecurity, especially if the person interviewing you is a women. Women think that the traits you described indicate weakness. You have to use persuasive body language.:

Keep a relaxed smile throughout the interview.
Keep eye contact during conversation, but don't stare into her pupils.
Don't nodd your head when being asked questions. Use your words.
Keep an optimistic tone when you speak.
Sit up in the chair and keep your back straight.
Don't fold your arms; it means you feel defensive. Just rest your hands on your thighs.

TIP: Bring a clean folder with a resume inside, and keep sheets of paper in both jackets for presentation.

Practice, practice, practice.

Find someone you know who can run you through some interview practice sessions.

Interview for jobs that you have no hope of getting, or that you wouldn't accept even if offered the job just for practice.

If you know what to expect, you will likely not freeze up as much on the real deal.

Use a video camera & a friend/associate to role play with some of the dumb questions some interviewers like to through to you, like "Where do you expect to be in your career plan in five years?"

The, play back the video & critique & improve.

One technique I used successfully was to bathe myself in an aura of confidence by suggesting that my impressive skills were such that if the the interviewing employer failed to hire me, the competition would!

This would never be effective in any other than the "private" sector.

Good Luck. I know you can do it!
