I have to agree with Steve; however the "SALLY" used to offer help, as well as direct someone to help agencies.

Without meaning any real offense, having been there, you might just have to settle in at a truck stop, and ask for rides.

On a possibly offensive note, you might just post flyers stating, "Last Chance to Spend Your Dollar."

I also have to wonder, if in fact this is legit...of other family members, compassionate in your cause, who might in fact help. With so little time left, perhaps hind sight might have been foresight, in saving what funds you could gather, even months ago, explaining to your daughter, "My gift is to visit you, not just send what money I can, so I'm not sending." It seems she already has a support system, whereas you don't.

Also having been in that situation, I might suggest, that once you get there...STAY there. Jobs/work/ income, are no less hard to come by anywhere in the USA, though admittedly, working in the South, in the Winter, has its benefits. BTW Nashville can get pretty cold in Winter.

One more then I'll leave you to your devices. Humility is probably something we should all learn, and deal with. It teaches us how to BE Humble. In your case, if I were in your place; I'd bite my ego and ASK those involved.

why not ask your daughter as she has most of your money. Most of us folks are having a time making ends meet and its not about extra its about staying warm and things of this nature. Please dont ask for handouts.
