If nothing matters then why get out of bed in the morning, why try to behave like a decent human being, why bring children into the world .....

Every thing and every being impacts on the world somehow, every action has a reaction, even the tiniest organism is necessary to the chain of life. Of course, in the greater scheme of things we may very well be like grains of sand but if you narrow down the field of observation, you'll see that the choices we make concerning what we do or don't do, make a difference ... and it's that difference that moves life along, hopefully for the better.

I guess it just depends on what you are talking about.

If I decide I am going to wear a pair of socks in the morning and they have a hole in the toe, to me that matters. I can't stand it when my toe sticks out of the hole.

When I pick a pair of underwear and find that there is a hole in them, that doesn't matter to me. They are under what I wear and no one can see it anyway.

Just depends what you are talking about.

Did I wear my wedding ring today? Doesn't matter, because I know who my heart belongs to.

Did I pull my hair up into a bun before I left the house? Might bug me a little, but it doesn't really matter.

Do I believe in Jesus as my Savior? Hey, now there is something that matters! Your darn skippy I do.

Most of the time it doesn't matter anyway after all is said and done.

My Grandmother has a saying, "Is that all there was to that?", which speaks to us building up events and life situations that we envision without having gone through them, and in the end we're left wondering why we built it all up in the first place.

As you get older, yes, things and situations in life lose their luster, but as a whole, it does all of it together really does matter. It is your life.

What does matter is the fact: We are all in good company, not out breaking any laws, and just having fun; with what we love doing best, and with all our family and friends... Right here, right now. ;-)

Yes...

While it's happening...

It matters...

After it's all over...

What's the matter?
