generally speaking, the higher your education, the more you earn. That means that an associates holder would generally earn more than a high school grad.

In some fields, a high school diploma is not sufficient to even get the job. In that case, where the associates is the qualifier, then the high school grad makes nothing - he can't apply.

In all states. a holder of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing can become an RN. So can the holder of the Associate of Science in Nursing and the Master of Science in Nursing. RN is a license from the state; ASN, BSN, MSN are degrees from a college.

In some fields of engineering and technology - someone with an associates could earn more than someone with an unrelated bachelor's.

Generally, yes, but not by much. You really need a Bachelor's in a field, and in some fields even an Associate's Degree isn't enough. For example, you can't become a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) without at least a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.

yes for the right company and with the right degree

My uncle worked originally as an orderly at a mental hospital and then was allowed to lead group treatment sessions. When he got his AS in nursing his salarly shot up for doing the same basic work.

That's one of the few fields it works in and some states are making RNs a BS not an AS profession.

West coast long shoreman get pay 100,000 plus a year ............ without degree .

But degree in school is priceless. Because you can do whatever the long shoreman do but he cannot get the same drgree as the one you have.

So dont stop at AA degree, go all the way buddy.
