I've almost completed my Christmas shopping, and I was quite happy until this evening. I've been calm and collected throughout and have enjoyed myself, but now I'm finding that I'm cross with myself and others. What's going on?

could be a number of things, tired, hormonal flux, too much stimuli, etc., just take some time to be by yourself, take a long bath, do something on your own that you usually put off because it's a one person thing, unplug and recharge.

Maybe winter depression. Shorter days, longer & colder nights, being kept indoors, various other changes including age. Try making a countdown until Spring!

Oh,by the way, Merry Christmas!

Three things.

1. You realized you spent so much money and now you are mentally kicking yourself because your remembered something you promised last year-- I wont spend so much money NEXT YEAR".

2. You saw that cute pair of shoes, lovely softest leather handbag that you wish to buy for yourself as a christmas present but said. "maybe I will get this as a present , you never know", or "hush be quiet, I still havent bought ___ a present yet. Now in your quiet moment of relaxation , this imp called "mini you" is kicking your vexations chamber.

3. You havent been fed dinner yet.
