My Transmission In my 1998 went out well the reverse went out and the people that work on it said that it was caused by the breaks being to tight. So i have hever heard of that befor that it was causeing to to not role right but i was wondering if that could really cause it to do that..

I have never heard of that, and I have been in the auto business for 28 years! Transmissions fail mainly due to fluid breakdown, and this is usually caused by heat! If your brakes were tight enough to cause transmission problems, the car would not move!

If I were you, I would find a more qualified technician to work on my vehicles, and leave the person who told you that to work on tricycles for children!!

You would certainly know if the brakes were too tight and that would not be a reason for the transmission to fail. Transmissions seldom fail unless the fluid level is too low or gears have been broken by rough shifting.

no not possible. If your breaks were that tight they would have actually started on fire from getting to hot.
