Hi Brandon,
(i hope this doesn't bore u)

Read this...it's the "Brandon" story.

One day a terrible deadly plague begins spreading around the world...
It started in a remote village in Asia, and within a week... it had spread to every major city and country in the world...

Deadly and incurable, people were panic stricken and crowded around hospitals... where doctors and scientists were working 24/7 to find an antidote...

You're there with your family when suddenly...the doctors emerge from the hospital...they're calling your name...
When they find you they tell you that your blood test showed that YOUR blood is the only blood in the world that can be used to make the antidote cure...
But...to make enough antidote, they're going to need ALL of your blood and... you will die as a result...
Sadly, you say goodbye to your family and friends and do the right thing...

The world is saved and you are famous and loved by everyone...

One year later... a great celebration is scheduled to honor your memory for saving all humanity...

But hardly anyone comes...they're all too busy going about they're lives doing whatever it is that's important to them...they think that the "Brandon" story is boring....

You're family and friends are shocked, sad, and disappointed at the ingratitude of so many people...

By now you know that this story is a parallel of Jesus story,
Do you think it is a good idea to allow yourself to be bored at church?
Isn't it up to you to bring your best to God...and give thanks.

thanks for reading...
hope i didn't bore you...

Yes.

1. The music in church fails to reach teenage men. Teenage men often preferr hard rock, metal, or rap.

2. The Church basically preaches that people should not enjoy sex etc. So naturally, the friskiest segment of the population isn't going to like this.

3. The Church is based on logical fallacies, and those who want to engage in thoughtful debate are met with evasive responses.

4. The Church was made to appeal those who are weak in the Nietzschean sense, and so it naturally appeals mostly to the elderly and the very young.

5. Violence is also not condoned by the church. This is problematic for young men, who's bodies and minds have evolved specifically for the purpose of hunting and killing. Besides sex, violence is one of the most enjoyable and entertaining concepts to young men, because it is what they were born to do!

6. Worship in church is designed to be one of the few things that old people can actually do, and so is devoid of heavy physical activity. If you were to add some weights, calisthenics, or running, it might appeal more to young people.

The church has failed to bring in teenagers, because teenagers are the one segment of the population still able to enjoy their present lives instead of taking solace in life after death.

yes... my parents make me go ... I try to get scheduled to work on Sunday morning so I don't have to go... there's nothing to do... there's no youth my age and I'm not friends with any of the few youth that are there anyway, even the ones I grew up with... they sorta annoy me ... and the preacher speaks way too long ... 20 minutes I can handle, but where there is no point being made that I can see... I space ... so, it's not worth anything because I can't concentrate on what are seemingly unrelated things for half an hour or more ... I do really like old church hymns though

Not if you go to a Pentecostal church like I do!

When you're sitting in your seat, and the pastor is staring directly at you, yelling in your direction, it's anything BUT boring.

Up until we switched churches a few months ago, church was pretty boring. Now I love it! :)

Not all teenagers in church are boring.

I'm pretty sure church is boring for about ALMOST every teenager.
I know I have the worst time trying to pay attention.
Most the time I just skip and go sit by the creek.
1 of the 10 commandments is "Thy shall keep the Holy day sabbath"
meaning, to attend church.
But even if you go, you will break it if you aren't attentive the whole time.
I think it is a stupid concept, but that is just me.

When I was a teenager, I never went to church, but I do now find it boring. Does that count?

properly i are not getting great bored. It in simple terms relies upon on my temper. My priest supplies loooonng pointless sermons. i assume they don't seem to be pointless to initiate off with yet, he is going off on tangents for twenty minutes then comes back to the factor interior the final ten. then you definately have not got any theory what the heck he suggested... So I frequently area out for the time of the sermons. yet throughout something of the provider that is not too undesirable. My concern is my innovations wanders. it fairly is espiecally not uncomplicated simply by chanting and and so on. So each and all the monotones fairly develop my wandering innovations excursions. yet i decide directly to flow to church. My family contributors would not make me. My father and that i are those that particularly visit church each and each sunday. My entire week is is tousled if i don't because of the fact my faith is my existence. :/

Our Church has a mosh pit! And this loud system that has never played hymns. Our pastor is funny and never droans on and on. He relates it with life experinces and sometimes looks to the Bible for examples. But yeah Church is cool :)
