Please be more specific on your motors. Many cars have had worthless (cheap to manufacture and not reliable) plastic intake manifolds which weigh 10 lbs. or less. Aluminum would weigh 13 -16 lbs. Cast iron will vary like the dickens because of application. I'd guess 23 lbs. for an iron intake for a small block Chevrolet. 28 lbs for a big block.

At most an intake can weigh maybe 30 pounds.

no, like the mustang intakes are plastic, and probably 7 or 8 pounds, a heavy one could be thirty though, but 100, definitely not.

Not nearly that much. An aluminum one is about 15 lbs, iron will be around twice that.
