Last wednesday my boyfriend's ex came into his parents house and assaulted me in front of their two small children. She threatened to kill the children. She left we called the police filed a complaint. Two hours later she came back with two guys who assaulted my boyfriend while she assaulted me again in front of their two children. They left we called the police and file charges. They didn't arrest her! She came to the police station and they let her go with the children. DHS was called and notified of the situation. They say there is nothing they can do. The police say there is nothing they can do. I say thats a crock I just don't know what to do or who can help. Any advice would be appreciated.

It may appear that nothing is being done, but the police and DHS are more than likely conducting thier investigations, which can take time.

You filed charges and that's all that can be done for now. If they weren't arrested its because the police probably didn't witness the crime, and it boils down to your word against thiers.

Just keep in contact with the police to see what if anything is being done. Best of luck.
