i live in London, but i always go to Texas to see family from like December 20-January 5 and basically, London being as bloody freezing as it is, its all exciting cuz all the lights go up and its practically too cold to snow, so basically your head goes CHRISTMAS CHRISTMAS CHRISTMAS and then i jump on a plain in a winter coat, get off the plain and wish I'd been wearing shorts because Texas is just constantly sweltering and bright. its very confusing because my body immediately goes CHRI-SUMMER VACATION?? what?? but i guess when you have the tree and family and Christmas music and presents its all Christmasssy again. SO in the spirit of cheesy Christmas movies, its not what you get, or where you are, its who you're with! (embarrassing how accurate that is to the conclusion of all Christmas movies....)

Christmas in Florida is nothing like Christmas in Connecticut--warm weather, green grass; but the snowman decorations look ridiculous on the lawn. On the other hand, no heart attacks from shoveling snow, no ice to slip on, no fender-benders from sliding on ice, no sleet, but the picture- postcard perfection makes me homesick. All in all, no, it's not very Christmas-y at all.

I hate Christmas time in the U.S. because of Day Light Savings time it gets dark at like 4:00. I need to see light when I get out of work.
