I think someone is mad at me and I don't know why

I didn't have such a great day at all today, well more like bad afternoon. My morning was pretty good. My lab partners in chemistry decided they were much better at weighing scales than me, despite me working in my dad's lab every summer and both of them had no idea how to work a scale. This kid kept going on and on about how he knew exactly what he was doing, and then proceeded to try and zero the scale with the salt cube on it. Yup. That seems like you know what you're doing. Oh, and then this other chick in my group decided that because it was "taking too long" to find the weight we could just make up a number that seemed legit. Oh, and don't get me started on the way they measured liquids...apparently you can tell how much is in it from looking at an angle from like 2 feet away. Um..ever heard about getting even with the table, people?! So, yeah. I made a joke, I was like, "my daddy tells me how to do this stuff!" They laughed, like I meant them to. If only they'd taken it a bit more seriously...I did know what the f*ck I was doing. So...yeah. Those things made me kinda pissed.

Nope not that I know of. I know that I'm not mad at you. I hope everything turns out okay with that person. Perhaps they are just in a bad mood or going through a lot and don't want to take it out on you.

Well, peeved, not mad. It's my father. My mother had a stroke last week, and she was in the hospital, and then they transferred her to a respite care. Unfortunately, I can't stay with my father until Friday because I have obligations. And I feel horrible about it because I know he needs me. Why don't you just fish around with the person and see if they are mad? I would just ask them flat out.
