I can hear sound from my computer but when I goto realplayer I can't hear anything.?

I can hear sound from any site on my computer, but, when I go to realplayer I cannot hear anything?

Does RealPlayer have its own mixing console or EQ settings? If so, perhaps the settings can be adjusted to increase the volume.

If not, could the application be resetting the existing mixer controls when it starts? Opening the volume controls and seeing if they change when you start RealPlayer may be an option.
