Ham hocks are the lower part of the pig's leg. I never heard of anyone hocking a ham but hey, would it surprise us? I have heard of Anchor Hocking. Is that when someone hocks an anchor?

Definition: The hock is the lower portion of a hog's hind leg, made up of meat, fat, bone, gristle and connective tissue. In the market, ham hocks are often cut into 2- to 3-inch lengths. Most have been cured, smoked or both, but fresh hocks can sometimes also be found. Ham hocks are generally used to flavor dishes such as soups, beans and stews that require lengthy, slow cooking. Wally, you can't be very old. LOL Ham Hocks are pigs feet that are delicious in beans if they are smoked. It makes them taste really good, and the meat is great as well, though there isn't a whole lot. Smoked Ham Shanks are pigs ankles, and they are also good for beans or greens if they are out of Ham Hocks. There is a little more meat on them.

Lets see here....Hocking a ham would require you to go to a pawn shop. Lets say you found one that would allow you to hock your ham. Pawn shops usually give 1/10 - 1/25 the actual value of the item so if you paid $10 for your ham you could expect to recieve $1.00 - $2.50.
I thin it would be best to just cook that ham and make a few sandwiches.
