I just got into Columbia University as a freshman and I'm going to have to decide which residence hall to apply to. I have a feeling that while they are all similar one or two of them are better than the others. Can any current Columbia students or alumni tell me which is their favorite building between Hartley-Wallach Living/Learning Center, Furnald, Carman, or John Jay? Thanks!

I wouldn't do John Jay. Furnald was recently upgraded but it's still a really old building. Can't get into Lerner? That's the newest. Hartley Wallach I'm not sure about, sounds like it must have been upgraded, but Furnald I'm sure about.
