no...your length of period depends on the length of ovulation 14 days are usually a fixed period and do not change...for example if you ovulate 16 days after the first day of your previous period the next period comes exactly two weeks after..if you ovulate 10 days after the first day of your previous period the next period comes exactly 14 days after that ovulation day...you can not change it at all. it all depends on the day you ovulate....that is what makes the variation.
