"Don't take offense too easily and don't worry about being liked."

The advice was given me when I was in college by a guy who lived in the same dorm I did.

My great uncle at my wedding who is a short little adorable man said, "listen I give everyone this speech when they get married. You have to both always make an effort, because then you have this- *brings his two hands together in the shape of a heart* Love. If you don't make the time for each other and do the nice little things, there won't be anything there after a while." I thought it was especially sweet because his wife had just passed away from cancer very suddenly. To make a long story short we have had some very horrible things happen to us in our few years together but we're still doing the little things!

My momma gave me some advise once many years ago when my heart was broke and I KNEW it would never mend. She said, "women are like taxi's in Manhatten, if you don't like the one that's coming, just wait, there will soon be another".
She also said, relationships are like shoes. If you're not comfy in 'em, get rid of 'em.

she was right both times....

Something like "It's the bad things in life that make the good things good"
I don't remember who told me though...I really like it and whenever something goes wrong, it just makes everything else seem so much better

A therapist... he said.. "nobody is responsible for your happiness, but you." In other words you can't blame a husband, friend or boyfriend because you are unhappy, for any reason, they are who they are and only you could make yourself happy.
