I think he will. For these reasons.
1.) You don't steal 500 bases and win 8 Gold Gloves on Steroids
2.) He was a great player without steroids and would still be the only person to join the 500-500 club.
3.) He'd still have 3,000 hits when he does get those hits.
4.) He'd still hit 650 at least home runs without steroids.
5.) For those who argue he's played too long, then Ripken shouldn't have made the Hall. Ripken is way overrated. He wasn't that good of a player.
6.)Bonds hasn't tested positive to steroid use anyways.

Think of it this way--with all the players on the juice in this day and age, Barry is one of the best, so unless you want to ban all pre-existing-HOFers who wind up being implicated as well as everyone still playing Bonds deserves to be in the Hall just as much as any of 'em.

Barry Bonds is clearly on steroids but doesn't mean he shouldn't make the HOF. He was a stud player before he was ever suspected. I'm from Pittsburgh and we all hate Bonds but we know he is extremely talented.

You can't put an * or not let him into the hall because of this. There are so many players that have been taking steroids for years. If you think nobody took steroids until 1995-2005 your not very smart. Steroids have been in sports for a long time. Ask Lyle Alzado. Everyone was doing it...i know not everyone but a lot....you can't put an * next to everyone because it wasn't tested and you'll never know. You can't just single out Bonds because he's an A Hole.

I agree with some of what you say but you are wrong about Ripken, he was a very special player; he also probably not hit 650 but would have had well over 500.

He has not been proven guuilty and will be in the Hall of Fame, whether he shows up or not.

No Barry Bonds will not make the hall of fame. Even if he would have hit 650 or so home runs he is still going to be criticized for using steroids. I dont want him to get into the hall. He is being tried right now for lying to a federal court and pergury. He is going to lose. By the way he tested positive for steroids earlier this year.

there is no valid reason to maintain Bonds out of the hall. particular, there is the steroid factor and he's a dick, yet Selig and MLB are complicate interior the scandal and to punish Bonds for all of it is in simple terms incorrect. comparable with Clemens. Neither guy is sufficient to this factor my daughter, however the way issues stand now, they should the two be first-around selections. Now McGwire and Palmeiro, fantastically Palmiero, i'm not so particular. All McGwire became good for became HRs, strikeouts, and walks. Palmeiro became caught along with his pants down and a needle in his butt and of all the adult males back then, he broke extra human beings's hearts.

He deserves it, of this I have no doubts.

But, even moreso than McGwire or any other PED Era Slugger (or pitcher, or anyone -- a cursory review of the suspensions to date indicates AT LEAST as many pitchers as hitters were using Something, but no one wants to hear about anything but the longball guys), Bonds has a huge wildcard in his candidacy, and we won't really know what's going to happen until he gets on his first ballot.

Of course, before then, Palmeiro will have his chance, and he's got the smoking gun in his history. I think Palmeiro is toast for sure -- but will he be enough blood?

Bonds won't get first ballot certainly. Second ballot will tell us more.

I agree with everything you said, but if he does have a postive drug test that is revealed tomorrow, I really think he might be banned from baseball.

Bonds was an amazing player. He had incredible como of speed and power. I really think he would have went 550-550 in his career, but he got jealous of McGwire and Sosa, so he wanted more power. So he started using steroids.

If he is mentioned in the Mitchell Investigation tommorow and he's convicted on his federal charges there is no way he will ever be voted into the Hall of Fame.
