SMART!!!

My son has Autism and when we took him to a theme Park I had him on a leash, but it was connected to my jeans.

I had a leash with to keychains on each end.So I was not holding the leash it was connected to my pants and the other on his pants.I was hands free.

People complimented me on a great idea.

Even if people didnt like it I would not have cared.

I cared about my sons life and safety.

I think its alright. Maybe 20 or 30 years ago it would have been wrong but these days you really need to keep your eyes on your children every second.Especially if your at a public event or anywhere your on your own. I personally have a 2 yr old daughter and I get so irritated when Grandma or Mom takes for granted that she's ok...for instance...loading her in the car seat and then coming back into the house to make a call or get something really pisses me off. It's those unattended moments you here on the news "I just went back in the house to get my coat and when I came back, she was gone"....So, I would use a leash and feel more secure. Maybe it looks a little weird and excessive but I'd rather be the 2 than be depending on law enforcement to find my child if she was taken. Thats just me though. and to Sadie...."your just the type a child predator looks for...one that thinks shes so perfect and it could never happen to you" Maybe so, maybe not...I wont take a chance!!!"

Well I have a son that is 18 now and he has down syndrome and autism and does not speak and he loves to RUN and when he was small he could get out of a cart and RUN like the wind and he could HIDE I had to MAKE a leash for him. I felt horrible but losing him would have been worse. He still runs and hides but he is fat now and much easier to spot! With people stealing babies and children whatever you have to do to protect them I guess must be done. Too bad our world is not as safe as it was when I was growing up!

I USED to think it was horrible, BUT since my grand kids have come along I now see the wisdom behind it!
Kids are so precious.
And it only takes a second for something bad to happen that can't be undone.
If it takes a leash to keep one safe...I say...go for it!

I think it's cute heh.

Some kids are runners!! It's too dangerous these days to have kids that run...who knows what could happen to them.

But if you're over protective and sheltering your kid, which is why you are using the leash....it's just going to make problems for the kid.

i'm no longer a parent and that i think of there are few situations under which i could use the gadget although entertainment parks and tourist sights are good cases to contemplate whether those twine attachments is suitable for you and your baby. I stay in a much less busy area of city, If I had little ones and took them someplace like DisneyLand or something, they does no longer understand the thank you to react because of the fact they could have never seen something like that earlier. Commercialism has made it look like a place the place little ones can flow wild. Given the variety of horrors which could come across little ones unawares i could elect to have administration of my little ones than would desire to handle what could take place in the event that they went wild in the "baby based" atmosphere. I agree however that it would be used sparingly and in situations the place it extremely is mandatory and it extremely is going for use with plenty interest. I cherished the guy who reported that she used the wrist-band option. i think of that it extremely is plenty extra equalizing considering which you have one too, while a harness is extra of a demeaning place.

Things like this make you want to leash them last Saturday a 5 year old boy was taken from a dollar store in Bloomington In. That makes me very ill.

I often see kids and wonder why the parents DON'T leash them. It's actually also a pretty good idea if you're in a busy place or there's traffic.

I use them on my little girl. When we are in a safe area I just tuck the strap into the back of the harness and let her walk along side but in busy areas and near traffic it is the difference between her falling of a ledge or getting hit by a car.
People who say they are wrong usually don't have kids and have no idea how easy it is for them to run off.

I feel sorry for the parents that they don't have control over their kid.
I take it if the kid is leashed it is young.
What is going to happen when the kid is too old to be leashed.
I think they need to teach their kid how to behave instead of acting like an animal.
