Kashmir wanted to stay independent but Pakistan attacked it immediately in 1947 (there was no time gap) and captured parts of Kashmir.

The then Kashmir king was scared and took help from India on condition that Kashmir becomes a part of India but can still retain a certain part of its autonomy. India intervened , won the war went to UN lost the territory occupied by Pakistan which is now called as POK, Pakistan Occupied Kashmir and a hotbed for terrorists motivated by Islamic ideology to re-capture the remaining Kashmir and later the entire India.

The US supported/supports Pakistan which in turn supported the PoK militants to make a war against India, in their words "bleed India by a thousand cuts", its worked as far as bleeding is concerned but seems Indians have lots of blood supply.

The entire history is open , very clear and concise, without any ambiguities and a modern day grim reminder of how religious ideology when misused can turn a heaven into hell.

Kashmir was called as heaven on earth.

So for your question is there a war ? Yes there is an terrorist war going on in Kashmir as well as a proxy war where a certain religion and its supporting country/s claims it has majority and wants separation irrespective of what promises were made in past.

Who will capture Kashmir ? The strongest and purest one in terms of ideology, courage has always won throughout history.

well, there have already been about three wars over Kashmir and, in essence, India has won all of them.

Not surprising since India is about eight times the size of Pakistan.

as i hope you all remember, in 1947 Kashmir voted to be free and independent of both India and Pakistan.

their freedom was honored for only a few years and then Kashmir came under attack by Islamist forces based in Pakistan. They turned to India for assistance in holding back what seemed to be an invasion and the result has been division of Kashmir.

Imho, the whole mess is a deep, dark stain on Pakistan and on America for supporting them.

India has a size advantage. But it is those in Kashmir who suffer. Maybe they will revolt from the fighting of ownership between Pakistan and India. Then it will be a three way fight.

If you see any map of India, Pakistan or even other maps showing states u'll find that there is dotted line for Kashmir which means still fight is going on...
But Kashmir is Indian state... and there will be no war for it...
Even if they say its ours then
Indians are followers of Gandhiji, we'll win it following the path he has shown.... that is truth and non-violence...
We are not going to achieve anything with violence and blood wars..... and I don't think any Indian will wish to do so...
We all love peace...
When Gandhiji could win over British Empire....................
.................................................................... I hope u got what I wanna tell...

oh crap.. I'm rusty... is Kashmir a Muslim city in Hindu India or a Hindu city in Muslim Pakistan.

Either way.. the nation that holds it within it's border will most likely keep it.
