capitalism mainly is a form of economy while communism is a form of government. Capitalism wants a free laissez faire economy while communism strives for uniformity through control. Capitalism goal is freedom to choose while communism is equality for all.

capitalism is when you have a democratic government...communism believes in equality of all people (same salary, housing etc.) communist dictators are in power until they die...no elections
