I call him the "Man Traitor" because every episode he puts down men and acts like women know everything and men are morons.

Agreed. In his gender treason, McGraw takes after the other Phil, Donahue.

Without Donahue, there would have been no Oprah. Without Oprah, there would have been no McGraw.

No! The law shouldn't be biased against men, but rather heavily biased in favor of what's best for children, even if it is detrimental to their fathers financially, because children are innocents to the circumstances which bring about their birth. Furthermore, children have no control over when, or even if, their fathers are notified of their existence, and shouldn't have to suffer for the ill-considered actions of their mothers or fathers. If a mother decides to carry her child to term, rather than abort, as is her right, the father is still responsible for his part in the creation of the new life. Consequently, he should be held financially responsible for the well-being of the child which he helped bring into the world.

I don't know how just the men feel about him but I see the show as social work for the masses. I also see a prejudice against women - guess it's the filters we each use - regardless, this is why I stopped watching.

For those who are questioning Dr. Phil's educational background here's what his biography says: "Dr. Phil has a B.A. from Midwestern State University and an M.A. and Ph.D. in clinical psychology from North Texas State University with a dual area of emphasis in clinical and behavioral medicine."

I really don't think he is bias and only puts down men. I've seen him treat women in the same way many, many times. It just depends on what day you happen to watch and often on what part of the hour you are watching. He starts with one person in the couple to talk to then switched to talk to the other person after 10-15 minutes---both are getting the Dr. Phil lecture on what he feels they need to change.

By the way, to the person above who said he is divorced. You are thinking of someone else. He and his wife have been married 31 years.

He's another TV advice dispenser like Oprah (his evil creator). He might say a few good things, but anyone with a little sense could reach the same conclusions.
What irritates me is the 'dirty-uncle' moustache and that when I went to the 'philosophy' section of a bookshop, his books were there!

I think he's alright, I mean, he's decent. Though, from a professional stand point, I doubt too many conventional psychologists approve of his methods, and show. He's basically an up class alternative to Jerry Springer.

I've seen his show a few times, he's a little biased, but overall I don't think he's too sexually biased, at least, considering he's a spin off of the Oprah show.

In Australia his show air's during the day (along with the other shows oriented towards women), so it is no surprise that his show is bias toward women. I was appauled when I saw his "MAN Camp" series - this pretty much somes up his man-bashing attitude.

I call him Dr. Shinyhead Mc Texas.

He's not really a doctor of ANYTHING and he has no business dispensing relationship/life therapy (or dating advice, or weight loss counciling etc).

I'm not sure whether he's putting down men and putting women on a pedestal or not because I stopped paying attention to him a long time ago.

I loathe Dr. Phil. Not because of his attitudes towards men versus women. But because he exploits troubled people for the purpose of a television show. I know, there are plenty that do the same. But he tries to cloak his shameless manipulation behind a pretense of helping people. He is a pompous, self-important, charlatan. In my opinion.

I'm not sure all i know is that the man is a total hypocrite. I mean hes overweight and writes a diet book counsels people on how to strengthen their marriages yet gets a divorce. I don't see why anyone should follow his lead.
