Wind is too variable to have as a major source of power--but it is essential to use all renewable forms of energy in the mix. Industry needs to continue to improve the process, especially to reduce the unsightliness of wind farms (which provide ammunition to prevent startups). Wind power generators must work with the various constituencies in order to create a workable solution to reducing our dependence on oil.

I think not. Waves should help a lot, especially off the coast of Ireland. Solar may help, especially in some deserts.

Storage of energy produced is very important.

Germany has become notable for solar energy - really - because any electricity peole make with solar energy gets an attractive subsidy if it is fed into the electricity grid.
